Winter Park, Florida is just a few minutes away from Thurston House. Nearby Rollins College is the state’s first private college, with a 65-acre campus known for its beautiful Mediterranean Architecture.

Winter Park boasts stewardship of the largest privately held collection of Tiffany, located in the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art. Another world class museum is the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens. And you don’t want to miss the Scenic Boat tour which runs daily from 10am to 4pm. It’s a relaxing way to experience three different lakes and the historic canals that attach them.
