As the days grow shorter and the temps cool off just a bit, join us in the garden for a seasonal refresh for a Gardening Weekend at Thurston House.
After an early 3pm check in on Friday, we’ll gather that evening for a front-porch welcome reception featuring house-made hourdevours and sweets. (BYOW)
After breakfast on Saturday, we’ll spend time touring the gardens and sharing our collective knowledge as gardeners.
We know that every decision in the garden has a cause and effect. Throughout the day, we’ll be joined be a guest Master Gardener for conversations on topics of interest such as propagation, creating a certified natural habitat, supporting pollinators and sustainability.
Enjoy an al fresco lunch on the Thurston House grounds on Saturday where we’ll reflect on summer and envision changes in our fall gardens.
Later, we can offer a recommendation for dinner on your own at one of many great local places. Venture off just the two of you or pair up with new-found friends. There will be dessert waiting for you at the inn when you return!
Spend the weekend in the gardens at Thurston House understanding the sustainable gardening methods that allow us to have ever blooming gardens and provide a sanctuary for our pollinator friends. We encourage you to take cuttings home for propagation!
