Thurston House Times – Maitland/North Orlando

ANNOUNCING…..new at Thurston House bed & breakfast – a Chickering circa 1858 rosewood Victorian Square Grand piano!!! It was a donation for the Maitland Historical Society, but they needed a place to house it until they have their new facility built. Since we already lease the building known as Thurston House from the City of Maitland, and we take wonderful care of that, they knew this was the right place for the piano. It is a beautiful piece of furniture, and fits right into the front parlour like it was made for it. Come see for yourself…book now!

North Orlando/Maitland – Bed, Breakfast & birds!

The National Wildlife Federation has long recognized bed & breakfast inns as places that do their part in creating wildlife habitats in their own communities. Offering wildlife habitat areas as an amenity to birds, butterflies and other wild critters is also considered an important amenity for overnight guests.

Imagine being located just 5 miles from busy downtown Orlando, but set in the middle of 8 acres of beautiful treed land overlooking serene Lake Eulalia. This is what Thurston House offers and more! People who come through our doors can be everything from busy professionals, harried parents, people dealing with a personal tragedy or illness…and so much more. Our wildlife habitat provides these guests places to relax and enjoy the peace that you can find when surrounded by a natural environment.

We are proud to be officially acknowledged as a Certified Backyard Wildlife Habitat!  oddsize-backyardhabitat2
